Global Wave Statistics

Global Wave Statistics provides worldwide coverage of wave climate in 104 sea areas, and an additional database providing a higher spatial resolution for the North European Continental Shelf. Based on 130 years of observations to provide a stable climatic average, the data has been quality enhanced by the well established NMIMET process.

Registered users can select the specific sea areas of interest to them, and have the wave climate data for these specific areas immediately available at a cost of only (GBP) £50 per area (excluding VAT). Once you have purchased the data it remains available to you, and you may return and re-examine the data in different ways.

Registration is free, and in order to provide the opportunity to evaluate the system, data for one sea area (of our choice) is provided free of charge.

You may also have the Global Wave Statistics data available immediately on your desktop. PC Global Wave Statistics contains all the same data ready for immediate display and processing. The software package also includes the ability to use Response Amplitude Operators (RAO's) to calculate long term vessel response and downtime.
